'As everyone knows KD is a major community asset but has suffered over the last few years as the government has been diverting funds to support failing schools [as measured by pupil premium and high needs].  As an unintended consequence, schools of excellence such as KD, have had their budgets drastically reduced.  Many schools have suffered but none as much as we have [London schools have a special booster grant to ‘raise standards in the capital’]. In KD’s case, its budgets are down by well over £1,500,000 per annum [over 30%!!].  Government funding [at around £5,000 per pupil] is sufficient to run ‘bog-standard’ comprehensives but is entirely inadequate to deliver the standards of excellence we provide which are more akin to the standards provided by the top schools in the independent sector

There are few causes which are more worthy than our Schools.  KD looks after 1,300 children, from Crèche through Nursery, Primary, High School, Yavneh and Sixth form from across our community. It caters for the whole spectrum of the community, with children from widely differing religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Its mission is to produce generations of great citizens who are proud [and knowledgeable] of their Judaism and heritage and the Schools go to extraordinary lengths to look after our children so as to achieve that mission.
