All Shule services are currently being held in the Hilton Suite which as you can see from the photograph is as Covid-Safe as we can make it.
Rabbi Dovid Eisenberg says: "After more than three months we are open for all services again which will be limited at first but hopefully as things get safer we will be able to relax some of those stringencies. Looking forward to seeing you back again!"
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT:
I am pleased to announce that we feel that all our services appear to be running well, including all the Shabbos services. Last Shabbos morning we had 50 people there and it was wonderful to see many of our members back in Shul.
Because we nearly reached our maximum capacity of 60, we have made one major change to the Shabbos morning booking. When you book for Shabbos morning from now on, your place will not be automatically confirmed (as is the case with the other services). You will receive an email to say you have a provisional booking, however, you will need to wait until Thursday or Friday to receive a confirmation email to say you actually have a place at the Shabbos morning service.
Priority will be given to people saying Kaddish and to men and women who have a yahrzeit in the coming week. Please note that it is still members only.
· All attendees must be pre-booked in order to attend services. This is to ensure that numbers are controlled and that we adhere to test and trace guidelines. Admission will be refused to anyone that has not pre-booked their place. BOOKINGS FOR ALL SHABBOS SERVICES (FRIDAY NIGHT, SHABBOS MORNING, SHABBOS AFTERNOON AND MAARIV AFTER SHABBOS) MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN 12.30PMON THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE SHABBOS. UNFORTUNATELY NO MORE BOOKINGS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME.
· There is a simple online booking system which can be accessed at https://Calendly.com/shrubbsminyan. There you will be able to book for all the various services. If you are unable to use the booking system or are having difficulties you should contact the shul office by telephone or email shrubbsminyan@gmail.com. You will need to book for each service separately. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL BACK IF YOUR BOOKING IS SUCCESSFUL. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL BACK, THEN PLEASE EMAIL SHRUBBSMINYAN@GMAIL.COM TO CHECK THAT YOU HAVE A PLACE AT THAT PARTICULAR SERVICE (with the exception of Shabbos morning - see above).
· Strictly one booking per person attending. Members of the same household will require their own individual bookings.
· You cannot assign or transfer your booking to another member.
· No admission to children under 12.
· Please wear appropriate PPE; face masks are mandatory. Anyone attending without appropriate PPE will be refused entry.
· Please bring your own Siddur, Chumash, Talis as needed. Due to possible cross contamination and difficulty in cleaning these items the Shul cannot provide these items to members at present. If anyone lives outside the Eruv or if anyone does not have any of these items please contact Ian Creek on 07966540942.
· If you are feeling unwell or are showing any symptoms of Covid-19, however mild, please do not attend and seek medical advice. You will also need to follow current government guidance as regards self-isolation if you have travelled to certain countries.
· All members are advised to seek medical advice as to whether attending services is advisable.
· Please observe social distancing guidelines whilst on the Shul campus.
· Any attendees that do not follow the guidelines will be asked to leave the campus.
· In the case of over-subscription, priority will be given to those saying Kaddish or for men and women with Yahrzeit.
I am sure that we will all remain respectful of guidance and any changes required to our processes as time goes on and appreciate your full cooperation in order to keep services running, albeit under unusual circumstances. We will continue to monitor the situation and may have to make such changes that are necessary to maintain the health and safety of all attendees at services.
It is our continued wish that we all remain healthy and that things will improve over time so that we can one day run services as normal with no restrictions.
