'Through the Lens' in memory of Stuart Foster, o'h.

Tuesday 12th June in the Hilton Suite with a special screening of 'The Impossible Spy' - the amazing true story of Israel's Master spy, Eli Cohen.

An appeal will be made on the night with all proceeds going towards 'Israel Summer Photography Experience' in memory of Stuart Foster o’h.

Over the summer of 2018 the United Jewish Israel Appeal (UJIA) plans to run 10 half day “pop up” photography workshops in the Galil for approximately 500 children.

North West Friends of Israel (NWFOI) would like to raise £10,000 to fund these workshops in memory of Stuart Foster, o'h.

Stuart had huge love for Israel and spent many hours avidly supporting the NWFOI cause. His love of socialising and his passion for photography will be remembered by us all.

The children attending these workshops come from the lowest end of the socio-economic spectrum in Israel and the workshops will enable them to have an experience of photography that would not normally be available to them.Additionally these workshops will be visited by various British Zionist Youth Movements in Israel on Summer Tour, thereby facilitating fantastic interaction between Israelis from across the religious spectrum and Jewish teenagers from the UK.

These pop up experiences will therefore fulfil a number of very worthwhile goals:

Providing an exciting and normally “out of reach” photography event to many deprived Israeli kids during the summer holidays when many cannot afford to go to camp;

Encouraging and fostering interaction between Israelis and teenage Jews from the UK, which can only strengthen our mutual bond;

Hopefully helping kids fall in love with the beautiful art of photography; the pictures taken by the children will be shared on social media, showcasing Israel in a really lovely way.

Please join us on June 12
